My big furry man

My baby boy

You fill my heart with so much joy

Always so excited to see me

Without you, what would the world be?

Yes, you’re aggressive to every stranger

But that’s only because you sense immediate danger

You’re so stinking cute

Though I sometimes want to put you on mute

I wish you’d stop licking your wounds open

Soon you’ll stop – at least, I’m hopin’.

My furry little friend

I cherish the time together we spend

Brightening each day you jump into my arms

Never could I resist your charm

 

Those twinkling puppy eyes

Never tell any lies

Your wagging tail

How adorable you sound when you wail

 

Mom despises you

Which makes me so blue

Because you pee on everything!

Still, you make my heart sing

 

You devour leftovers like a vacuum cleaner

But I love your playful demeanour

I love you like a father loves his child

Even if you’re a little wild.
